Peppy Hare (Peppī Hea) is a fictional character in Nintendo's Star Fox franchise. He is a member of the original Star Fox team, with leader James McCloud and wingmate Pigma Dengar. After Pigma's betrayal and James' capture, Peppy narrowly escapes to return to Corneria to inform Fox McCloud of his father's fate. Ever since then, Peppy serves as Fox's mentor and frequently gives Fox instructions and advice throughout the course of the games. Peppy's phrase from Star Fox 64, "Do a barrel roll!", has become infamous on the internet, and is spoken on several internet forums.

According to Star Fox Command, he has a daughter, Lucy, and is the widower of his wife, Vivian. He eventually retires from flight duty, taking up a post in the Great Fox and eventually made General of the Cornerian army, after Pepper grows ill.

Peppy SNES

Peppy's old appearance.

Peppy became part of the new team, led by Fox McCloud, and the two new members, Slippy Toad and Falco Lombardi. Peppy was considered "an old fart" in the team. Occasionally the team would encounter the evil group, Star Wolf, led by Wolf O'Donnell and consisting of, Leon Powalski, Andrew Oikonny, and former StarFox team member, Pigma Dengar. Peppy was the main target of Pigma. After Star Wolf and Andross were defeated Team Star Fox returned home and were paid handsomely by General Pepper(depending on how many enemy units were destroyed by the player).

Other InfoEdit

Trophy Information from Super Smash Bros. MeleeEdit

Peppy was a member of the original Star Fox team with Fox's father James McCloud. Peppy was the sole survivor of the Battle of Venom where a treacherous teammate named Pigma Dengar betrayed the team. Peppy now rarely climbs into the cockpit of an Arwing, preferring instead an advisory position in mission planning.

Trophy Information from Super Smash Bros. Brawl Edit

A member of the original Star Fox team. Peppy Hare was an esteemed pilot, now retired and currently commanding the Star Fox team from the mother ship, the Great Fox. Although he's known for a propensity for nagging, the praise and trust his team gives him hasn't changed throughout the years.

Peppy is old, so his stats other than his Jump and Arwing skills aren't all that impressive. Special: Charge speed for laser is x4
